Here are some basic information regarding Postás Cup 2013. A full invitation will be published in January:
Date: 20-21. April 2013.
Location: near Dabas, 50km SE of Budapest
Program:
Saturday, 20th April,
11:00: middle distance race
16:00: relay race
Sunday 21st April,
10:00: long distance race
Race format: 2-day, individual competition, 1st day middle distance, 2nd day long distance with combined result. Hungarian ranking events. On the afternoon of day 1. there will be a separate relay race.
Terrain: The competition terrain is located in the North-western corner of the sand-dune ridge between the Danube and Tisza rivers at a height of 110-115 meters above sea level. The surface sand is bound by vegetation. The dunes created by the wind produced an area of varied relief. The terrain consists of semi-open areas with rich contour details, and forested areas with good run-ability.
The terrain has never been used for orienteering before!
All runners entering any of the youth categories (MW10-18) can enter the competition at a discounted entry fee:
